Galatasaray achieved a significant victory on the road, defeating their arch-rivals Anadolu Efes 95-76 in the fifth round of the Turkish championship, handing them their first domestic league loss of the season.
Galatasaray played a fantastic game and secured their third victory of the season. The visitors performed better in the first half, leading 45-35 at halftime.
The key to the victory was the final quarter, particularly its start, when Zvezdan Mitrovic’s players orchestrated a 13-2 run to extend their lead to 81-61. They maintained this advantage until the end, securing a convincing win.
Five players in the visiting team reached double digits in scoring. Ahmet Tuncer led the way with 16 points, followed by Huseyin Koksal with 15, Akwasi Yeboah with 14, Jarell Martin with 12, and Ismet Akpinar with 10 points.
For Anadolu Efes, Tyrique Jones had 18 points, Erkan Yilmaz contributed 16, Darius Thompson added 12, and Elijah Bryant scored 10.
