Galatasaray has strengthened its roster with the addition of another American player, Dee Bost, formerly of Asvel.
The experienced (naturalized) Bulgarian national team representative has previously played for Galatasaray from 2021 to 2023, after which he signed with Asvel. His stint in Villeurbanne didn’t last long, leading the veteran basketball player to seek a new opportunity with Metropolitans.
Bost’s averages of 12 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 5.2 assists per game in the French league recommended him to Galatasaray, which welcomed the American back to its ranks with pleasure. The contract has been signed for a 1+1 season.
Dee Bost began his illustrious career in 2012 with Buducnost and has also played for Trabzonspor, Zielona Gora, Monaco, Zalgiris, Strasbourg, Khimki, Galatasaray, Asvel, and Metropolitans.
Galatasaray opened the season in the FIBA Champions League with a loss to PAOK, while in the Turkish Super League, they have a record of two wins and two losses.
It may not be realistic to expect Bost to make his debut against Anadolu Efes on Sunday, but it’s highly likely he’ll appear at the Aleksandar Nikolic Arena when they face Hapoel Jerusalem.
