Game 2 of the Serbian Super League finals between Partizan and Crvena Zvezda was interrupted in the third quarter.
This was decisive for the Crvena Zvezda players and coaching staff to leave the court. It is also worth noting that Partizan’s head coach, Zeljko Obradovic, went to the rival’s bench to try to protect them, along with some of the black-and-white first-team players. After that he went to the fans who talked with him and the players. They pleaded with the team to not play if the game was to be continued with an empty Arena.
The game itself was interrupted at the score of 57:45 in favor of Partizan with eight minutes left in the third quarter.
Ioannis Sfairopoulos’ team leads the series 1-0, and if they secure another victory, they will win the championship, their third title of the season following the Radivoj Korac Cup and the ABA League.
