Georgios Bartzokas, the coach of Olympiacos, spoke after his team’s convincing win over Alba Berlin with a score of 94-67.
“I would like to mention the atmosphere first. It was a good game overall, and our fans came to support us. It was a good opportunity to close the year with a win. We know that Alba is in good form; they defeated Barcelona, and we couldn’t afford to lose. In the first half, we were bad; the rhythm was poor, and we knew how crucial that is against Alba.
We rushed in transition. In the second half, the defense was excellent, and all the players adjusted. We had 30 assists, a dream for any coach. If you see the team assisting like that, it’s a great thing. Good luck to Alba and Coach Gonzalez in the rest of the season,” said Georgios Bartzokas at the beginning.
“Last year, we had the same problem. Sasha Vezenkov was ahead of Alec Peters, and now he is behind him. It’s tough for Luke because Alec knows the system very well, having been here for a year. Luke is experienced, and his presence is important; he will have the opportunity to showcase his talent.”
