Germany continued its impressive run at the FIBA World Cup, securing a fifth consecutive victory in the final group stage match against Slovenia with a score of 100-71.
Slovenia had a strong start, leading for most of the first quarter and finishing the opening ten minutes with a commanding 25-11 advantage.
However, the second quarter saw a remarkable turnaround by Germany. With an 18-2 run, they erased the deficit and went into halftime with a 38-34 lead.

Germany essentially sealed the fate of the game in the third quarter. Another 18-2 run pushed them ahead, establishing a 21-point lead at one point. Slovenia made efforts to mount a comeback, showing resilience, but ultimately couldn’t avoid defeat.
Dennis Schroder led the charge for Germany with an impressive performance, contributing 24 points and ten assists, while Daniel Theis added 14 points. On the opposing side, Luka DonΔiΔ was the top scorer with 23 points.
Germany finished atop Group K with a perfect record of five wins, while this was Slovenia’s first loss in the tournament. Both teams have secured their spots in the quarterfinals, setting the stage for exciting matchups in the next phase of the competition.
