As the FIBA World Cup draws near, Germany has unveiled its definitive roster of 12 players who will embark on the journey to Okinawa.
During the preparatory phase, the team engaged in two crucial matches, facing Sweden and Canada. Impressively, they emerged victorious in both encounters, giving head coach Gordon Herbert the insights needed to make his final decisions.
The driving force behind this squad is none other than Dennis Schroder. With Schroder’s exceptional performance during the previous European Championship, which led Germany to a bronze medal, he has undoubtedly become the leader of this team. In the past NBA season, Schroder showcased his skills with the Los Angeles Lakers, participating in 66 games and averaging 12.6 points and 4.5 assists per game.

Unfortunately, Oscar da Silva and Leon Kratzer found themselves on the sidelines, along with Maxi Kleber, who withdrew earlier due to a verbal altercation with Schroder.
The remaining 11 players who will join Schroder in pursuing new achievements are Isaac Bonga, Niels Giffey, Justus Hollatz, David Kramer, Maodo Lo, Andreas Obst, Dennis Schroder, Daniel Theis, Johannes Thiemann, Johannes Voigtmann, Franz Wagner, and Moritz Wagner.
Germany’s journey in the World Cup will unfold within Group E, where they are joined by Australia, Japan, and Finland. This promises to be a thrilling competition for the German team and their fans.
