Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks player, has signed a new three-year contract with the team from the state of Wisconsin.
According to the information available to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Greek player will earn $186 million over this period. More precisely, when divided, he will receive $62 million annually. Both sides quickly reached an agreement, mainly due to the deadline set on Monday at 11:59 PM EST.
It’s also worth noting that Antetokounmpo has a player option in the contract, meaning he can remain with the Bucks in the 2027/2028 season if he chooses. Similarly, he can become a free agent that year. Interestingly, if the “Greek Freak” had waited until the summer, he could have signed a more lucrative contract worth $233 million over four years.
Giannis Antetokounmpo won an NBA championship ring in 2021 with the team from Wisconsin, ending a 51-year championship drought. He has also earned two NBA MVP awards.
