A fantastic NBA night is behind us, and one of the marquee matchups of the evening was the duel between the Miami Heat and the Milwaukee Bucks, where the hero of the night was Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The matchups between these two teams have had tremendous intensity in recent years, even during the regular season. With Damian Lillard’s arrival, it was clear that this game was among the most anticipated of the previous night, and it didn’t disappoint. After a close first quarter, the Bucks had a great start in the second quarter, led by the Greek player, pushing them to a double-digit lead.
The same rhythm continued in the second half, with Antetokounmpo and Lillard leading the way, giving the home team a +24 lead going into the decisive final 12 minutes. With their experience, the Bucks didn’t allow for any surprises, although Miami threatened with the excellent performance of Tyler Herro. The final score was 122-114 in favor of the Bucks.
Giannis Antetokounmpo was the leading scorer for the winning team with 33 points, followed by Lillard with 25. On the other side, Herro scored 35 points.
Steph Curry continues his dominant performances. The greatest shooter of all time has had an excellent start to the season, and that was confirmed in New Orleans. The Golden State Warriors player led his team to a convincing 130-102 victory over the Pelicans.
The game was decided in the third quarter when the visitors built an enormous 20-point lead, leaving no chance for the home team.
Curry scored 42 points, making 15 of his 22 field goal attempts. On the other side, the only notable performance came from Zion Williamson, who scored 19 points.
Steph isn’t the only one who had a game with over 40 points. The game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Minnesota Timberwolves was competitive until the very end, but Dejounte Murray ensured that the victory went to the home team. Despite Anthony Edwards causing significant problems for the Hawks’ defense, Murray managed to come out on top in that duel and secured the win for his team with an outstanding performance in the final moments.
The brilliant guard scored 41 points, shooting an impressive 17 of 24 from the field. Trae Young added 24 points. As for Minnesota, the standout was Edwards, who scored 31 points.
