Gilbert Arenas had criticism regarding the MVP selection, emphasizing that Nikola Jokic isn’t a player who closes games.
Recall that Gilbert Arenas had criticisms of “The Joker” over a month ago on the “Night Cap” podcast.
“Nikola Jokic is probably, statistically speaking, the worst MVP winner in the last 40 years. When you talk about the most valuable player, players who have won that award, their teams are usually first or second in the NBA.”
In his latest remarks, Arenas emphasized that Nikola Jokic isn’t the player who decides games in uncertain endings.
“Are we going to ignore the fact that he (referring to Jokic) isn’t the go-to guy when it matters? Jamal Murray is the guy Jokic relies on for those shots. Murray becomes the number one option when the game is on the line, and then you give the MVP award to a guy who, when it matters, passes the ball to someone else.”
