Glen Davis, better known by his nickname “Big Baby,” has been sentenced to 40 months in prison for healthcare fraud.
The former NBA champion with the Boston Celtics paid a hefty price for falsifying medical reports. As media outlets across the pond report, Glen Davis could have faced a prison sentence of up to 20 years.
In addition to the 40-month sentence, “Big Baby” will also have to pay $80,000.
According to federal authorities, Glen Davis and others committed fraud against the NBA player insurance plan and family members amounting to over $5 million in a scheme that lasted at least four years.
