Achille Polonara, a player for Virtus Bologna, is returning to the court after undergoing surgery for testicular cancer and completing a chemotherapy cycle.
The Italian returned to his homeland this summer, but after just a few weeks into the new season, he received devastating news. He was diagnosed with testicular cancer, which was successfully treated through surgery. Following the surgery, he underwent a four-week cycle of chemotherapy, which has been successful.
Former player of Anadolu Efes, Zalgiris, Fenerbahce, and Baskonia has returned to the court. Specifically, Achille Polonara has started with individual training, as seen in the video. We won’t see him in official matches for some time, but there is a possibility that we may see him on EuroLeague courts soon.
