The Indiana Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks by 120:98 in Game 6 of the NBA playoffs.
There’s no doubt that Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s injury had an impact on the outcome of the game and the entire playoff series.
The Milwaukee Bucks had a better start to the game than their opponents, as evidenced by their lead of 13:6. However, the Indiana Pacers found a better offensive rhythm and managed to take a double-digit lead (29:19) as the game progressed. The visiting team managed to reduce the deficit by the end of the first quarter, but it was evident that they might not have enough energy to secure the win.
The Milwaukee Bucks didn’t display a poor performance in the second quarter, but the Indiana Pacers managed to establish a double-digit lead towards the end of the first half (59-47). A similar scenario unfolded in the third quarter, where Khris Middleton resisted the opponent, but it simply wasn’t enough to prevent the defeat. The Indiana Pacers capitalized on the opponent’s lack of energy in the fourth quarter and comfortably secured a convincing win.
The top scorer for the Indiana Pacers was Obi Toppin with 21 points, while Damian Lillard stood out for the Milwaukee Bucks with 28 points.
The Eastern Conference semifinal series is scheduled to begin on May 7th. The Indiana Pacers will face the New York Knicks, who eliminated the Philadelphia 76ers.
