Israel Gonzalez spoke ahead of the ninth round EuroLeague match in which Partizan and Alba Berlin will face off in Belgrade.
Alba Berlin had a disastrous start to the EuroLeague season, securing only one victory in the first eight rounds. The lone triumph for the German representative came at home when they defeated Milan. Speaking before the visit to Belgrade, Israel Gonzalez stated:
“Games at the Belgrade Stark Arena are always special due to the atmosphere. Partizan plays with a lot of energy, especially on their court and in front of their fans. Above all, we must be prepared to physically match our opponent on Friday,” said the head coach of the Berlin team.
Tim Schneider, a key player for the Berlin team, also shared his expectations ahead of the game in Belgrade.
“We are expecting a tough match in Belgrade. The atmosphere will undoubtedly be intense. Partizan has assembled a very strong team this season. Now they are even stronger with the arrival of Bruno Caboclo. In addition, the black and white fans make it difficult for any team that visits Belgrade,” said the German team’s basketball player.
The game in Belgrade is scheduled for Friday at 8:45 PM. Partizan will be seeking their fourth victory of the season in the EuroLeague against the German representative.
