Following their match against Serbia, Italy managed to secure another victory against the tournament host, Greece, with a final score of 74:70.
The first quarter saw a flurry of mini-runs from both sides, but it was the “Azurri” who found themselves in a more favorable position after the opening 10 minutes. Italy’s lead extended into double digits in the second quarter, although Greece managed to narrow the deficit by halftime, making the score 35-31.
As the game progressed, Italy continued to extend their lead, entering the final quarter with a double-digit advantage. Despite a late surge from the Greek team, including an 11-3 run, it wasn’t enough to orchestrate a comeback.
