American player Jake Cohen will no longer play for Maccabi Tel Aviv, as he announced on Instagram along with a heartfelt message.
Cohen expressed disappointment with this outcome, clearly describing everything in an emotional post on social media.
“I regret to say that Maccabi Tel Aviv has declined the option for me to remain with the team, so my time with the club has come to an end. I’ve been here for over eight seasons, and Maccabi Tel Aviv has become my second home. I’ve gained far more memories than I ever imagined and am incredibly grateful to everyone who made this journey special. To my current and former teammates, coaches, staff, and fans – you’ve all been the best,” wrote Jake Cohen, among other sentiments.
Jake Cohen has played three times for Maccabi Tel Aviv: first between 2013 and 2015, second between 2017 and 2020, and currently. He spent the 2020/21 season at Obradoiro before returning to Maccabi Tel Aviv. He has also played for Aris and Maccabi Ashdod.
