James Harden praised Mike James in a conversation with Tomer Azarly, who recently became the EuroLeague’s leading scorer and assist leader.
Recall, the Monaco guard surpassed Vassilis Spanoulis on the all-time EuroLeague scoring list during a game against Crvena Zvezda, thus writing new pages in history.
“He knows how to play the game. He was my teammate at the Brooklyn Nets. Many players don’t get the right opportunities in the NBA or even get a chance to play for a team. Mike James is a guy who worked hard on his career even when things didn’t go well with his NBA stint. He simply didn’t give up but kept working. The result of all that is his great success in the EuroLeague,” said James Harden, and added:
“Kudos to James, first and foremost, for staying true to himself. He showed guys without the right opportunity and role in the NBA how they can still make a top-notch career, earn a lot of money, and provide for their families. A big shoutout to Mike.”
James Harden currently plays for the Los Angeles Clippers, averaging 17.6 points per game.
Mike James has played in the NBA for the Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Pelicans, and Brooklyn Nets.
