Jaxson Hayes has exercised his player option and will return to the Los Angeles Lakers with a $2.4 dollar option.
He will follow in the footsteps of D’Angelo Russell, who also exercised his player option for the next season. The American center has been with the California based team for a year now. He has spent four years with the New Orleans Pelicans.
The 24-year old has been averaging 4.3 points per game last year, with 3.0 rebounds in 70 games played.
Jaxson Hayes has been drafted at eight overall at the 2019 NBA Draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He was however traded for Nickeil Alexander-Walkers, Didi Louzada and a 2020 protected first round pick. On the other way, the Pelicans sent Solomon Hill and De’Andre Hunter.
