Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum played excellent games in the 102:105 win over the Indiana Pacers, securing the Boston Celtics’ spot in the NBA Finals.
It was another game where the Celtics seemed on the brink of losing. The Indiana Pacers managed to keep pace throughout the entire match, despite once again missing Tyrese Haliburton. They went into halftime trailing by just a single point, thanks mainly to the brilliant performance of Andrew Nembhard, who positively impacted the whole team.
In the third quarter, the Pacers continued to play excellently on both ends of the court and even held the lead multiple times. This trend lasted until the final three minutes of the game. The scoreboard showed 102:98 in their favor, but from that point on, they failed to score. The Boston Celtics capitalized on this, securing the victory and sweeping the series to advance to the NBA Finals.
The winning team was led by Jaylen Brown with 29 points, while Jayson Tatum contributed 26 points and 13 rebounds. Jrue Holiday was also impressive with 17 points and nine rebounds. On the other side, Nembhard scored 24 points and dished out 10 assists, while Pascal Siakam added 19 points and 10 rebounds.
The Boston Celtics now await the winner of the series between the Dallas Mavericks and the Minnesota Timberwolves, where the Mavericks currently lead 3-0.
