It is rare for a head coach to have an injury, but Joe Mazzulla the Boston Celtics’ head coach will undergo a torn meniscus surgery.
After winning the 18th NBA championship of the Boston Celtics, their head coach candidly told reporters that he will have a knee surgery.
“Hey, guess what? I gotta have knee surgery. I tore my meniscus in March after we lost to Atlanta Hawks,” said Joe Mazzulla.
Mazzulla is not the only Celtic that is facing the prospect of a surgery. Kristaps Porzingis could go under the knife after Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
Weirdly enough he is the second head coach to have this type of injury. Chris Finch torn his meniscus after a colision with Mike Conley in the playoffs.
