Joe Mazzulla, a Boston Celtics head coach, spoke to the media ahead of Game 3 of the NBA Finals series against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Boston Celtics lead the series 2-0 after playing two very dominant games on their home court at the start of the finals series.
“He’s doing everything he can to be ready for the game tomorrow. It’s a serious injury. At the end of the day, the medical team is not going to put him in any bad situations. We’ve taken the decision to play out of his hands because of his importance. He is going to do everything he can to play and then we’ll leave it up to our medical team,” Mazzulla said about Porzingis.
After that, the Celtics coach commented on Jayson Tatum’s performances so far in the finals.
“Criticism is the ultimate beauty. It’s a sign of ultimate respect. It’s just a beautiful thing. I really love the way Jayson has handled that. It’s just a testament to who he is.”
Game 3 of the finals series will be played in Dallas on Thursday morning, starting at 2:30 AM.
