Joel Embiid, the player for the Philadelphia 76ers, spoke at a press conference after the loss to the New York Knicks.
The Philadelphia 76ers are struggling to match the Knicks in this NBA series. After two wins at home, the New York team managed to secure a crucial away win in the last game, putting them very close to advancing to the second round. The 76ers’ star player, Joel Embiid, didn’t hide his disappointment, but for a different reason.
“Think it”s unfortunate, and I”m not calling them out, but it is disappointing. I love our fans. I think it’s unfortunate, and I’m not calling them out, but it is disappointing.
Obviously, you got a lot of Knicks fans, and they’re down the road, and I’ve never seen it, and I’ve been here for 10 years. Yeah, it kind of ticks me off, especially because Philly is considered a sports town. They’ve always shown up, and I don’t think that should happen. Yeah. It’s not OK”, Embiid said after the game.
The next game is scheduled in three days (hosted by the Knicks).
