Joel Parra has further clarified his decision to leave Joventut and sign with Barcelona, marking a significant step in his career.
Interestingly, he will play against his former team in the first round of the Endesa League, where he spent a total of six seasons. The Spanish international confirmed that he will always support the club where he grew as a basketball player.
“I’ve talked about this before; I will always root for Joventut and support them. However, I must proudly defend the colors of the club I’m playing for now, which is Barcelona. I will give my all to help the team win as many trophies as possible. This is not just my debut in the Endesa League for the new club; I will be playing against my former team. I hope everything goes well. I will always wish them the best of luck, but there won’t be any friendships during this match. I will do everything to win,” explained Joel Parra.
"Kao i uvek u životu, postojaće ljudi koji to shvataju, ali i oni koji ne razumeju. Što se mene tiče, ja sam mirne savesti…"https://t.co/bXTD3jqP4O

“I want to train with the best and compete against them. It was a tough decision to leave Badalona, but in moments like these, to achieve certain goals, you have to step out of your comfort zone. I’m currently very happy and grateful to Joventut for everything they’ve done for me. As in life, there will be people who understand it and those who don’t. As far as I’m concerned, I have a clear conscience because I know I gave my best in my former club,” concluded the Spanish international.
