Fenerbahce defeated Asvel by 83:73 in the EuroLeague Round 24.
Fenerbahce started the game in France better than their opponents, with Nick Calathes and Johnathan Motley being the main contributors to the strong performance of the visiting team. Towards the end of the first quarter, Asvel managed a 4:0 run, taking the lead by18:16.
The best player in the second quarter was Mike Scott, who finished the half with 21 points. At one point, Asvel even gained a double-digit lead, but Fenerbahce managed a 7:0 run towards the end, reducing the deficit to 42:39.
In the early stages of the third quarter, Fenerbahce staged a comeback. Johnathan Motley dominated the third quarter, thanks to whom the Turkish team maintained the lead until the final break – 67:56. Amine Noua had a good performance in the fourth quarter, officially securing the win for his team. Asvel managed to reduce the deficit to single digits only on a few occasions.
The most efficient player in Asvel was Mike Scott with 26 points. Johnathan Motley was the best player for Fenerbahce with 24 points.
Fenerbahce is fourth in the EuroLeague standings with a record of 15 wins and nine losses. Asvel remains in the 17th position with a record of 5-19.
