Lithuanian center Jonas Valanciunas will play for the Washington Wizards from next season, while Andre Drummond will be part of the Philadelphia 76ers team.
Valanciunas was a free agent and agreed on a three-year deal worth 30 million dollars, so his experience will help rebuild the new team, which has not been in a good situation for several years.
He comes to Washington after a decent season with the New Orleans Pelicans, in which he averaged 12.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 55 percent shooting from the field.
Drummond fared somewhat worse financially, as he will earn $10 million in two years with the Philadelphia 76ers. In doing so, the center returns to the team he was with during the 2021-22 season, before leaving for the Brooklyn Nets.
For the past two seasons, he played in the Chicago Bulls with Nikola Vucevic, and this move is only an announcement of the reconstruction of the mentioned team, which probably expects some kind of rejuvenation, so in some projections even the Montenegrin player could change the team in the NBA.
