Joventut defeated Tenerife at home by 96:88 in the Liga Endesa Round 33, keeping their hopes alive for the playoffs.
The Catalan team started the game much better. They played very decisively and led 31:17 after the first 10 minutes. There was an incredible 30-point lead midway through the second quarter, but the visitors from the Canary Islands managed to reduce the deficit, and the score was 54:33 at halftime.
The third quarter was similar, with a better start from the green and black team, and then a good finish from the yellow and black team. However, the difference was too big at halftime for anything to change, and Daniel Miret Garcia’s team triumphed, although it was a bit uncomfortable towards the end of the match.
Bruno Fitipaldo scored 24 points and was the most efficient player in the match. Kyle Guy had one point less. On the other hand, Joventut was led by Andres Feliz with 17 points, while Guilem Vives had 15.
In the remaining games of the day, Obradorio defeated Palencia 81:75, while Manresa defeated Bilbao 90:81.
