Kawhi Leonard impressed at the start of Team USA’s training camp in Las Vegas and he apparently hardly missed any shot.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Leonard put up a great showing last Friday in a Team USA camp in front of Grant Hill, the team’s managing director, and Steve Kerr, the head coach of USA.
Furthermore to these names, Leonard’s uncle and advisor Dennis Robertson and the President of Basketball Operations of the Los Angeles Clippers, Lawrence Frank, also joined in.
At the training, the Clippers forward reportedly demonstrated a fantastic shooting performance, hardly missing a shot.
The news is all the more valuable considering news about Leonard’s right knee injury which could have led to his replacement in Team USA.
Kawhi Leonard had missed almost the entirety of the first round of the NBA playoffs against the Dallas Mavericks this year. Throughout the season, he averaged 23.4 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game.
