Los Angeles Clippers’ basketball player Kawhi Leonard wasn’t very favorable towards the new rules regarding player rest.
Leonard explained why he had missed certain games in the past in the NBA.
“I’m not a player who will just sit out for no reason. When I was in Toronto, it was different; I was coming off an injury. Those health details should be known. If the league has any doubts or sees something wrong with what I did with the Raptors, then they should stop doing that. I was injured that whole year,” Leonard stated.
“If I’m able to play, I will play. I work hard every day in the offseason to play, not to sit and watch others do it. No league rules will help me play more games. The goal is to try to win it all these years. I don’t care about what others are saying. It will happen as it needs to happen. The focus is on this season, on winning the championship ring, as it is every year,” Leonard stated.
The forward has played very little recently due to a serious injury, which made it challenging for the Clippers to reach a certain level. In the upcoming period, things could drastically change with Kawhi back on the court.
