Coach Kazys Maksvytis of Zalgiris spoke ahead of the game against Milano, concerning the EuroLeague and the 11th round.
Kazys Maksvytis emphasized the qualities of the opponent his team will face on Thursday at 20:30.
“Milano is a defensively oriented team, influenced by Ettore Messina. They have issues with rotation, especially on the perimeter. They play unconventionally, with Nikola Mirotic often playing as a power forward. They are athletically gifted, big. They are an unconventional team,” said the Lithuanian coach.
Maksvytis on Mirotic
Then Maksvytis went into more detail about Mirotic.
“With him, you have to choose your poison. They play a lot of pick-and-pop, but if you overcommit, they exploit it with low post play. In that aspect, we have to decide what we want and what suits us better,” emphasized Maksvytis.
