Kemba Walker, in an interview with “Eurohoops,” discussed his new environment and the fact that he will be wearing the jersey of Monaco in the upcoming season.
Monaco is set to face Valencia in the opening round of the EuroLeague, but Kemba Walker will not be able to play in that game due to knee injury issues.
“He is getting in better and better shape. He hasn’t played for a long time, and after knee surgery, there have been other problems. Proper treatment is needed for all the other muscles. We cannot expose him to any risk, no matter how small. We are optimistic and expect to see him on the court soon,” Monaco’s leadership stated.
On the other hand, Kemba Walker still believes that everything will work out and does not question his adaptation to European basketball:
“I love challenges, and I love competing at the highest level possible. At the end of the day, basketball is basketball. I will adapt quickly to the new team; I am ready for a new chapter. I have already been to Monaco and remember it as a beautiful place. I have always said it would be nice to return, and it seems like God heard me.”
