Kendrick Nunn has landed in Athens, where he will play for Greek club Panathinaikos. He expressed his excitement about the new challenge in his career.
Nunn, along with Kemba Walker and Serge Ibaka, is one of the biggest names to make the move to European basketball this summer. He has signed a contract with Panathinaikos until the end of the 2023/2024 season.

“I’ve done my homework. It’s an excellent club with a rich history, and the playing style and the coach suit me,” emphasized the 28-year-old basketball player.
Kendrick Nunn also commented on his conversations with Ergin Ataman before coming to Athens.
“He wants me to come and be myself. To score points, lead the team, and help win games. That’s what I love to do.”
In the seventh round of the EuroLeague, Panathinaikos will be playing against Alba Berlin on Friday, and Nunn is expected to make his debut in this game.
“I could play as early as tomorrow if needed. I’m here now, so I’m ready,” he said eagerly, anticipating his debut.
From the NBA to Europe
Kendrick Nunn has 212 NBA games on his resume, having played for the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Lakers, and Miami Heat. He hopes to return to the world’s best league next year.
“There was no deal this summer. Things got a bit complicated. I’m excited to be here, embracing the challenge. I hope we will do well, I’m sure we will. I will probably return to the NBA next year.”
“I want to win. I hope to win a trophy here; it’s one of my goals,” Kendrick Nunn concluded.
