Kendrick Nunn, a member of Panathinaikos, shared his impressions after the win in the Game 5 of the EuroLeague quarterfinal series against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Panathinaikos won the decisive game in front of their fans by 81:72, and the American guard was one of the main contributors to Panathinaikos advancing to the Final Four after 12 years.
“I feel great. This is a big win for us. We played with a lot of energy, our whole team. Maccabi Tel Aviv is a great team. We had a tough series, but we won the most important game, and we are all happy,” said Kendrick Nunn, who finished the game with 26 points.
He compared the playoffs in the NBA to the EuroLeague.
“This is crazy. I came here to play and learn. I’m impressed with everything, my teammates, it’s all a team effort that we’ve achieved. We played great defensively, and we have two more games to go.”
He was asked if he and Kostas Sloukas are the best backcourt duo in the EuroLeague.
“I won’t talk much about that. We’ll show it on the court,” Nunn concluded.
Panathinaikos will play in the Final Four against the winner of the Monaco – Fenerbahce series (2-2).
