Kendrick Nunn, a basketball player for Panathinaikos, stated that basketball in the EuroLeague is physically more demanding, and every game feels like a playoff.
He also mentioned that he is still adjusting to the time difference and a different way of life. Nunn had his best performance in the EuroLeague on Friday night, starting against Virtus and scoring 11 points, along with three rebounds and two steals.
“For me, this is definitely an adjustment – in sleep, in my routine, everything. It has been tough, but I am slowly adapting. It’s getting better every day,” said the guard to “Novasports” and added:
“I’m still trying to get enough sleep at night. The time difference is significant; I’m just living day by day, practicing with the team, that’s all. As for the game, I’m trying to communicate with teammates, understand the playing style. It’s much physically tougher on the court. The feeling is as if every game is a playoff game.”
Nunn joined Panathinaikos at the end of October, signing a contract until the end of the season. He also commented on the atmosphere in the OAKA arena.
“It’s definitely a different experience than in the U.S. I made my debut on the road and I’m trying to understand things fairly quickly, to accept them. I started slowly, with limited minutes. As the minutes increase, I feel more comfortable on the court, it builds my confidence. There are still some aspects of the game that I don’t have yet, and I hope to get them back. The fans were very loud, it’s probably the best arena I’ve ever played in. I hope I can repay them as they deserve,” concluded Kendrick Nunn.
Panathinaikos secured a win against Virtus by 90:76, marking their fifth win in the EuroLeague.
