The legendary power forward Kevin Garnett spoke with great respect about Dallas Mavericks’ star player, Luka Doncic.
Garnett particularly highlighted the scoring record, currently held by LeBron James, in the world’s most prestigious competition.
“Luka could be the only one ready to challenge LeBron. Nobody wants to say it. He’s averaging 33 points this season? Come on, man, on one leg, drinking a beer, having fun, doing God knows what else,” said Garnett.
He didn’t stop with the kind words directed towards the Slovenian.
“He’s 100% in his prime. It needs to be understood that he’s been playing professionally since he was 16. He’s now 25, in the middle of his peak. It’s all about how long it will last. He has five All-NBA selections for the first team, he entered the elite group already in his second season,” Garnett argued convincingly.
Besides Doncic’s brilliant performances, averaging 33.9 points per game in the regular season, he managed to lead the Dallas Mavericks to the NBA finals. Currently, the Boston Celtics lead 2-0 ahead of two matchups in Texas.
