He recalled the game-winning three-pointer against Real Madrid in last year’s EuroLeague quarterfinals: “Nigel Williams-Goss was guarding me from the beginning. He seemed tired to me. I knew from the first moment that I would shoot a three, I just wanted to get to my spot. I wanted so much to win that game. Emotions overwhelmed me, but I didn’t show them,’ said Kevin Punter, continuing to talk about who gave him the most trouble:
“Rodrigue Beaubois. He’s so irritating. Since I started playing in the EuroLeague, he has caused me a lot of problems. He has incredible timing, pretty long arms, and is uncomfortable to play against.”
When asked about the players he looked up to the most during his career in terms of playing style, he mentioned three names: Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and Lou Williams.
