Kevon Looney spoke to Hoopshype about his collaboration with Dejan Milojevic at the Golden State Warriors.
Kevon Looney revealed how Dejan Milojevic influenced both his basketball career and personal life.
“I had the best years of my career while learning from him. We’re talking about many aspects of the game, starting from offensive rebounds to finishing touches. He wasn’t the biggest guy throughout his career, but he scored a lot of points, he was even the leading scorer at one point. He had a lot to teach me,” Looney said, then added:
“Dejan was a fantastic coach, always brutally honest, always with a smile on his face… He was always joyful, making coming to work better and more enjoyable. I try to continue practicing that. I strive to have a smile on my face, to mimic what he did. It’s a huge loss, he influenced my season and the team’s season. Life must go on now, and it’s up to us to try to live the way he would have liked.”
In the current NBA season, the American basketball player averages 4.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.
