According to our sources, Kieffer Punter has signed his first professional contract with a team from Bosnia and Herzegovina. After three years at Troy University, he joins Promo from Donji Vakuf.
Punter has committed to a one-year partnership with the Premier League side, led by the young and ambitious head coach Boban Ninic.
This marks another promising American player joining the Bosnian-Herzegovinian team, benefitting from the coach’s strong connections across the Atlantic.
Kieffer Punter spent the past three years on the mentioned university program. Born in 1999, he was one of only two players to compete in all 33 games that the Troy Trojans played in the previous season.
Standing at 195cm tall, Punter plays as a guard, with the ability to serve as a secondary playmaker. He boasts a high basketball IQ, versatility in offense, and the capability to create his own shots.
During the last season, he spent an average of 26 minutes on the court per game, serving as the team’s leader. He averaged 8.1 points, along with 3.2 rebounds and just under two assists. His FG% concluded at 37% for the competitive year.
Regarding the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina, his new team finished in the tenth position last year, missing out on the playoffs. Coach Ninic and the team have ambitious goals for the upcoming season, aiming for significant progress. Promo aims to become more competitive and challenge the teams projected to make it to the playoffs.
