Klay Thompson, guard of the Golden State Warriors, spoke to media representatives after the game against the Brooklyn Nets.
Golden State Warriors celebrated with a score of 109:98, but that wasn’t the subject of discussion. Namely, Klay Thompson is in a new role this season, coming off the bench as a reserve. Accordingly, he commented on his feelings regarding this matter.
Even in moments when the game was on the line, Klay Thompson wasn’t on the court, which, judging by his statement, was quite difficult for him:
“Adapting to the new role? Are you kidding me? When you come to this, and you’ve been one of the best players, it’s hard for anyone. I’ll be completely honest, it’s very difficult.”
Head coach of the Golden State Warriors, Steve Kerr, weighed in on his words and the entire situation:
“This is a season with many ups and downs. It’s not easy, especially for someone who is a Hall of Fame player to deal with injuries, especially as the years go by. It’s tough psychologically.“
So far this season, Klay Thompson has averaged 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and just over two assists per game with a modest 41% shooting from the field.
