Kostas Sloukas, the captain of Panathinaikos, spoke to “Sport Klub” ahead of this year’s EuroLeague Final Four.
The Greek player shared his expectations before tomorrow’s semifinal. He praised his former team and expressed his desire to play in the final with the “Greens.”
“I expect a good game against Fenerbahce. They are a great team with a great coach. I hope we can make it to the final, and that is the only thing on our minds right now,” said Kostas Sloukas at the beginning.
He was at Fenerbahce, even winning the EuroLeague with them, but now he will face off against the Turkish team.
“I only have good memories in my heart. I played there for five years. However, I don’t live in the past, and now the most important thing is for Panathinaikos to reach the final.”
He will be playing in the Final Four for the 11th time, but such experience does not prevent him from being nervous:
“It’s always the same, as usual, I’m nervous and anxious. That’s my specialty. Tomorrow, we need to focus on the small things, especially regarding rebounds and steals,” concluded Sloukas.
