Kostas Sloukas has broken his silence on Instagram for the first time since his move from Olympiacos to Panathinaikos.
A month after the transfer that shook the European basketball community, Kostas Sloukas has decided to address the fans and send a clear message:
“Respect, Motivation, and Hard work. This is how I grew up, and this is how I approach every decision and step in my life. I thank the people and friends of the Panathinaikos team for the warm welcome, trust, and enthusiasm. I can’t wait to give back,” Sloukas wrote.
The club’s president, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, also added to the announcement of the new Panathinaikos player:
“We’re going to continue with the same recipe, for even greater success,” he commented.
In the past season, Sloukas averaged 11 points and 5.6 assists, leading Olympiacos with Sasha Vezenkov to the EuroLeague final, the national cup, and the Greek championship.
Joining Sloukas at Panathinaikos this summer are: Luca Vildoza, Mathias Lessort, Ioannis Papapetrou, Kyle Guy, Juancho Hernangomez, Jerian Grant, and Aleksander Balcerowski.
The Greek giant will be led from the bench by former Anadolu Efes coach, Ergin Ataman, starting from the next season.
