Kyle Guy, basketball player for Tenerife, spoke to the media after his team’s win over Unicaja and their advancement to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.
Tenerife managed to defeat the defending champions with a score of 91:83, and the American guard was one of the heroes of his team, scoring 20 points and adding 6 assists. After the game, Guy reflected on this performance.
“Some people forget who I am, so I decided to remind them. We still have a long way to go, we only got one win.”
Let’s recall, Kyle Guy started the season playing for Panathinaikos. However, the American didn’t find his footing in Athens, so during the season, perhaps somewhat surprisingly, he found a new engagement with Tenerife. Guy briefly commented on his time with the Greek club.
“I don’t know what happened with Panathinaikos. I’m happy here. I got minutes, and some wins,” said Kyle Guy.
Since the American basketball player returned to Spain and signed with Tenerife, he has played 6 games in the Liga Endesa, averaging 11.3 points and 2.7 assists. In the FIBA Champions League, he has played 3 games, averaging an impressive 26.7 points and 2.3 assists.
