Leandro Bolmaro, a player for Bayern, spoke to the official EuroLeague website about his nomadic basketball life.
The Argentine left his hometown of Las Varillas, a place with only 18,000 people, and moved to Barcelona. He emphasizes that it was difficult to leave his home country but that he easily adapted to life in Spain.
“When I left Argentina, it was very tough for me. But I quickly got used to it, and I like Spain. I felt at home there. It’s the same language, and there are many Argentines there who helped me adapt quickly,” said the former NBA player.

He then reflected on life in the U.S. He played in Minnesota and Utah, two places known for their extreme cold, making it hard for him to live there.
“I didn’t get used to life in the U.S. It was a different experience, but I think I learned something from it. I look at that period positively. But it was so cold that nothing could warm you up. I somehow got used to it, but it’s also fortunate that I didn’t go out much,” concluded Leandro Bolmaro.
