LeBron James played a phenomenal game in the Los Angeles Lakers’ loss to the Golden State Warriors by 121:128.
The problematic results continue for the Los Angeles Lakers. They started the game against the Warriors very well, with great support from the bench players. However, their lead melted away in the second quarter, and the guests took the lead after 24 minutes of play.
Golden State played solid defense in the third quarter, building a double-digit lead at times. The injury to Anthony Davis’s eye, forcing him to leave the game, further favored Golden State. The Lakers made a final push in the middle of the fourth quarter to try to get back into the game, but Steph Curry had a ready answer and secured a crucial NBA win for his team.
Curry led the Warriors in scoring with 31 points, while Klay Thompson added 26. On the Lakers’ side, LeBron James scored 40 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out nine assists.
New York Knicks defeated the Sacramento Kings on the road by 98:91.
We witnessed an excellent game in California. Both teams started the game well, showing a high level of aggression on both ends of the court, especially defensively. However, the Knicks played significantly better offensively in the second quarter, which gave them a five-point lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, Sacramento managed to make a comeback and reduce the deficit to just one point before the decisive 12 minutes. But that’s when the incredible Jalen Brunson emerged. After his outstanding performance against the Portland Trail Blazers, he showed that it wasn’t a fluke and dominated the game to secure an impressive victory for the Knicks, their 40th of the season.
Brunson finished the game with 42 points, while Donte DiVincenzo added 15. On the other side, Domantas Sabonis recorded a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds.
