LeBron James called his former teammate Kyrie Irving the most gifted player in NBA history and praised him even more.
The former teammates are still close it seems. The four-time MVP has sent a lot of praise to Irving who is playing great basketball during the NBA playoffs.
“I am so f*cking happy and so proud to see his growth. I am so f*cking mad that I am not his running mate anymore. He is the most gifted player in NBA history”, said LeBron James on the “Mind the Game” podcast.
The praise continued:
“There was nothing on the basketball floor that Kyrie Irving couldn’t do.I’ve never seen a guy in my NBA life that feels better at times shooting with his offhand than he does with his primary. If Kyrie Irving is off in a game with his right hand, he will literally go exclusively to his left hand. I’ve never seen nothing like that.”
The “Wizard” as James called him is on the quest for a second NBA championship. He returns to the TD Garden in Boston for Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Friday.
