Aris has officially announced the acquisition of Lefteris Mantzoukas, a promising young player, on loan from Panathinaikos for the 2024-25 season.
Standing at 2.07 meters and born in 2003, Mantzoukas is set to gain invaluable playing experience with Aris.
The loan agreement ensures that Mantzoukas will receive guaranteed playing time at Aris, an opportunity he struggled to find at Panathinaikos due to the abundance of skilled forwards on the team. This move is designed to allow Lefteris Mantzoukas to further develop his talents in a more competitive and consistent playing environment.
Last season in the EuroLeague, Lefteris Mantzoukas made 14 appearances, averaging just seven minutes on the court per game. Despite the limited playing time, he managed to score 1.9 points and grab one rebound per game. Notably, Mantzoukas displayed impressive shooting accuracy, hitting eight out of twelve three-point attempts, resulting in an outstanding 66% success rate from beyond the arc.
Journey with Panathinaikos
Mantzoukas joined Panathinaikos in 2020, signing a five-year contract. Since then, he has been part of a team that secured significant wins, including two Greek League championships, the Greek Cup, and the EuroLeague title. These achievements highlight Mantzoukas’ contributions to one of Europe’s top basketball teams and underscore his potential as he embarks on his loan stint with Aris for the 2024-25 season.
