The team from the United Kingdom’s capital spent most of the game trailing. After the first ten minutes, the hosts led 30-25. The second quarter witnessed a closely contested battle, and after a highly effective 20 minutes of basketball, the score stood at 51-49.
However, the “Lions” finally took the lead in the last quarter with an 8-0 run, proving decisive for the victory. Gabriel Olaseni stood out with 23 points. The London Lions currently hold the second position in the group with a record of 8 wins and 2 losses.
A fantastic match unfolded in Germany, where the role of favorites was assigned to the visiting team from Ukraine, a status they justified superbly within the first 20 minutes of play. They scored 52 points by halftime, carrying a 15-point lead into the break.
The home team attempted a comeback primarily in the third quarter, but Prometey always had a ready response. The only quarter won by the hosts was the last, by which time it was already clear that the Ukrainian team would secure the victory.
The top scorer for the winning team was Ondrej Balvin with 15 points, while Ronald March added 14. On the opposing side, William Christmas stood out with 16 points.
Prometey currently holds the fifth position in the standings with a record of five wins and an equal number of losses, while Hamburg occupies second-to-last place with only one triumph to their name.
