Luca Vildoza, Panathinaikos basketball player will miss the “Nikos Galis” tournament in Rhodes this week due to an injury.
Vildoza got injured during the training of the Athenians and won’t be able to assist the team. The Argentine basketball player injured his right ankle, and the MRI showed that it’s not a severe injury. The former Crvena Zvezda player will undergo more detailed medical examinations in the coming days, but will miss the preparatory tournament in Rhodes.
The opponents in this tournament will be Fenerbahce. The match will be played on September 15th, and two days later, the rival will be Maccabi.
Next week, as part of their preparations for the new season, Panathinaikos will also participate in the “Pavlos Janakopulos” tournament, where they will face Bayern Munich on September 23rd. The winner of that match will play against the winner of the match between Partizan and Anadolu Efes.
Vildoza already suffered an injury during the game against the Bahamas in the pre-qualification tournament for the Paris Olympic Games. Because of this, Ergin Ataman couldn’t count on the Argentine for a while, and this is now a new setback for the Athenians.
