Argentinian basketball player Luca Vildoza was injured at the beginning of the game against Chile, in the semi-finals of the pre-qualification for the Olympic Games.
Due to leg problems, Vildoza left the game after only two minutes. He immediately received medical help, returned in the second half, but sat out the rest of the match.
Argentinian media report that it is a spasm of the left adductor and that his performance in the final of the tournament is questionable. Such a situation could also worry Panathinaikos, for which Luca Vildoza signed this summer.
That did not prevent his team from winning 87:79 and advancing to the next stage, but it overshadowed the brilliant game of the Real Madrid tandem. Facundo Campazzo contributed to the victory with 19 points and 12 assists, while Gabriel Deck added 24 points.
The Argentinians will have a demanding task against them in the final. Their rival will be the Bahamas, who were previously better than Uruguay.
“Gauchos” will be looking for a rematch, given that they were defeated by the same rival in the group stage. Then the Bahamas were led to celebration by the NBA trio – Deandre Ayton, Buddy Hield and Eric Gordon.
Let us remind you that Argentina, after winning silver in China, misses the upcoming FIBA World Cup, which is scheduled from August 25 to September 10.
