Luka Doncic, the star player of the Dallas Mavericks, addressed the conclusion of Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics.
Luka Doncic played a brilliant game and was on the verge of bringing his team back into contention after a significant deficit before fouling out. The result was another defeat, leaving the Texas team at 0-3.
“I feel like I let my teammates down. It wasn’t the smartest move. You have to give everything in the finals. We were a bit tired. Kyrie Irving was great, and I’m grateful he’s here. I immediately told my teammates it was my fault, that I can’t do that, especially in a big final. It’s different in the regular season,” Doncic said.
He also addressed criticism of his defense.
“Yes, I can definitely do better defensively because that’s always going to be talked about. However, defense isn’t our biggest problem. Boston played excellent defense, but our offense is problematic. We haven’t scored over 100 points in any of the three games in the finals. Credit to the Boston Celtics’ defense. We need to play faster,” the Slovenian emphasized.
Game 4 of the finals is scheduled for tonight at 2:30 AM. No team has ever come back from a 0-3 deficit in NBA history.
