Luka Doncic delivered another stellar performance as his Dallas Mavericks secured a victory over the Memphis Grizzlies with a score of 120-113.
Dallas continues its excellent form. After two initial losses in December, the team has now notched three consecutive wins. This time, they had to contend with the highly challenging Memphis. The game started well for them, building a 16-point lead after 24 minutes, suggesting they would comfortably seal the win.
However, as previously mentioned, Memphis is known for being a formidable opponent. They didn’t give up until the last minute, with Jaren Jackson Jr. attempting to bring his team back into the game. It seemed he took on the responsibility too late, and the Grizzlies ran out of time for a complete comeback. Luka Doncic thwarted the final push from the hosts, securing a seven-point victory for Dallas.
Slovenian sensation Doncic led his team in scoring with 35 points, while Jaden Hardy added 19. On the other side, Jackson Jr. scored an impressive 41 points, but it wasn’t enough for Memphis.
The Philadelphia 76ers secured their third consecutive victory with a dominant win over the Washington Wizards, finishing with a score of 146-101.
The gloomy season continues for the team from D.C., as they suffered their fifth consecutive loss and the 19th this season, having only three wins in this NBA season. The game was decided in the first quarter, where the Sixers, led by Joel Embiid, established a 16-point lead. The same rhythm continued in the second quarter, resulting in a 29-point overall advantage for the visiting team after 24 minutes of play.
Philadelphia didn’t let up in the second half, maintaining a 16-point lead in the third quarter and entering the final quarter with a 45-point cushion. The last quarter was the only one not won by the Sixers (34-34), but it didn’t prevent another embarrassing defeat for Washington.
Embiid finished the game with 34 points and 10 rebounds, while Tyrese Maxey added 24 points. On the other side, Kyle Kuzma scored 21 points
