Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks secured their second win in the NBA playoff series against the Minnesota Timberwolves by 108:109.
The visiting team started the game very poorly. Offensively, they faced significant problems, as none of the players, except for the Slovenian, were in good form. This resulted in a double-digit deficit at halftime, with the gap reaching up to 18 points.
In the third quarter, we saw a much better performance from the Mavericks. This was highlighted by an 11:0 run, which brought the visitors back into the game ahead of the final and decisive 12 minutes.
In a close finish, the biggest mistake was made by Anthony Edwards, who lost the ball with 13 seconds left, giving the visitors a chance to shoot for the win. Luka Doncic took responsibility and scored, thus securing the victory for his team.
He was the most efficient player for the visiting team with 32 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds. Kyrie Irving also performed well with 20 points, while Daniel Gafford added 16. On the other side, Naz Reid scored 23 points, Edwards added 21, and Mike Conley had 18.
The next game is scheduled for May 27 at 2:00 AM, with the Dallas Mavericks hosting.
